Texting: the gr8 db8 & Reading and Writing, IPhoning

Texting can a great way to improve your reading and writing skills as well as a way to create bad habits in your grammar and writing style. The reason texting can harm your reading and writing ability is from abbreviating words. For example; when you write a paper, those bad habits of texting affect your writing. Bad grammar, spelling errors, and punctuation errors are all problems you receive from texting. Texting can only harm a writer when their writing is weak but texting can also keep your reading skills sharp. From personal experience texting has created bad habits which have made my writing weak. For example; "brb", "lol", "gr8", "ttyl", and etc., another reason texting has caused my writing skills to diminish is from the poor writers that text me. On the other hand, texting can has improved my reading skills. I can now read faster and not struggle on certain words.

Reading and writing on your iphone can be awesome, my friend has an iphone and carries all of his college books on it. When there is an assignment on class, he can just start typing. The iphone is a laptop in the palm of your hand, it has all the capabilities you need to stay ahead and on top. Not only does the iphone have internet capabilities, it has applications that can help you in any situation. It is convenient device that aids your reading and writing just do not loose it. Overall, this piece of technology has improved in everything we are accustomed to.

Reflecting on today's discussion.

Today, I arrived late to class at least thirty minutes late. I didnt know where class was and I spent about two minutes looking for it, after finding the class I went on in to find we have a million things to do after the holiday. Sometimes holidays dosent mean your getting a break but in fact your getting more work because people think that you have nothing to do but homework. In English we have several assigments do back by next class that is four days till today. We have two articles to read, four little articles from the book, finish our four bloggers and type a blogger a bout the two articles that where given.

Assigment and Assigment and test........

Hey, Joe have not seen you in a long time man. How is school coming along? For me, its been tough to keep up with school, work and well everything. College is really challenging, it really gets under your skin. I did not like the accuplacer at all because I am not a good test taker and I panic on timed tests. Not only is the accuplacer annoying it was inaccurate. Many of my friends have taken it and they scored higher than me, which is a bunch of none sense because I know I'm smarter than them. I just do not get why the test uses computer generated tests, it should be based on grade and a face-to-face questionnaire for those who are stronger in those testing areas; or at least multiple tests. I mean come on, a timed test with twenty-five of yours high school buddies sets up you up for failure. Not only that but for the retake you have to wait six weeks and also pay a fee. I think they should have slip up people who know each other and change that stupid retake rule. The whole test is a joke; I missed the passing out of English and math by one or two points, it is just a bunch of government nonsense. I know some people guessed on it and they still scored higher which does not make any sense to me because test should not be based on guessing. It should based on your intelligence and critical thinking, but hey, that is just my opinion. Now, I understand that this test is used to place you in the right class but it also does not work because dumber people can still score higher by guessing. In conclusion Joe, this test makes me mad and it was a waste of time. Peace.
