Texting can a great way to improve your reading and writing skills as well as a way to create bad habits in your grammar and writing style. The reason texting can harm your reading and writing ability is from abbreviating words. For example; when you write a paper, those bad habits of texting affect your writing. Bad grammar, spelling errors, and punctuation errors are all problems you receive from texting. Texting can only harm a writer when their writing is weak but texting can also keep your reading skills sharp. From personal experience texting has created bad habits which have made my writing weak. For example; "brb", "lol", "gr8", "ttyl", and etc., another reason texting has caused my writing skills to diminish is from the poor writers that text me. On the other hand, texting can has improved my reading skills. I can now read faster and not struggle on certain words.
Reading and writing on your iphone can be awesome, my friend has an iphone and carries all of his college books on it. When there is an assignment on class, he can just start typing. The iphone is a laptop in the palm of your hand, it has all the capabilities you need to stay ahead and on top. Not only does the iphone have internet capabilities, it has applications that can help you in any situation. It is convenient device that aids your reading and writing just do not loose it. Overall, this piece of technology has improved in everything we are accustomed to.
