What is your writing process?

When I first get an assignment that involves writing I already know that iam going to take a nice amount of time either wasting it to get it done. And what I mean about that is that I get home sit down with some paper and pen and start to brainstorm. That takes me around 30 minutes depending on the assignment, then I get bored and start to look around for things to distract me. After playing video games or hanging out with a couple of my friends I see that i have accomplish nothing but a piece of paper with scribbles in it. So I get mad at myself for not doing my responsibilities and start to get to work. It takes me a whole two hours to realize that I have a paper to do. So I pick myself from where iam at and then pen and paper start to do magic by themselves. My mom notice this from time to time and respects my process because from time to time I do get an A it just takes me some time to get in that state of mind. She will some times come and help me but most of the time she just watches me which kinda freaks me out. While iam in my writing mode I get all the resource that I can from my dad to wikipedia. I wish my process can be better and that it wont consume musch of my time but only time well help me fix this.
